Got a question that’s not on this list? No problem! Contact our team at Dr. Missy’s Vet Mobile and we’ll answer your question as quickly as possible.
What is a Mobile Veterinarian Service?
A mobile veterinary service makes trips to the vet office a thing of the past! We bring the veterinary assistance directly to your doorstep, which means you don’t need to leave your house to get your pets the care they need. It’s the most convenient solution for pet owners and their companions.
What Types of Pets Do You Treat?
Our mobile vet clinic caters to a variety of household pets. Dr. Missy and our vet techs treat all breeds of dogs and cats.
What Services Do You Provide at Home?
At our mobile clinic, we offer a range of veterinary services including wellness check-ups, vaccinations, dental care, minor surgeries, microchipping, spay and neuter surgeries, and more. All our services can be provided for your pet(s) in our mobile veterinary clinic at your doorstep.
What Areas Do You Serve?
Our vet/animal clinic is based in New Braunfels, and we cover specific regions and neighborhoods in this region. Our main service area spans across State Highway 46 from Bulverde to New Braunfels, but we treat pets all throughout the New Braunfels area. Please visit our contact page to see our service area map and to get in touch for further details.
Is an At-Home Visit More Expensive Than a Traditional Vet Clinic?
Our pricing is very competitive with most vet clinics in New Braunfels and Bulverde. While there may be additional charges for our travel time, the convenience of at-home veterinary care often outweighs any additional costs for many pet owners.
Does Dr. Missy Handle Emergencies?
At our mobile veterinary clinic, we only focus on routine and non-emergency pet care and treatments. If your pet is experiencing a health emergency, we recommend contacting a local emergency veterinary clinic for immediate assistance.
Can You Perform Surgeries at Home?
We can handle most minor surgeries on-site, like spay and neuter procedures or mass removals. However, if your pet(s) needs a major surgery or a specialized procedure like a fracture repair or an ACL repair surgery, we will refer you to a traditional veterinary clinic. Contact our team directly to see if our mobile clinic can handle your pet’s surgery.
What Can I Do to Prepare for a Traveling Vet Visit?
The best thing you can do prior to a house call with Dr. Missy is ensure your pet is in a comfortable and safe environment. It’s a good idea to have your pet’s medical records and list of medications ready for the vet. And don’t forget to take note of any specific concerns that you may have about your pet’s health and wellness.
Please note that dogs will need to be on a leash or in a carrier when we arrive. Cats will also need to be in a carrier for safe travel to and from your home to our veterinary clinic. Please be aware that we use a generator for power in our clinic and it can be a little loud at times.
Will Dr. Missy Enter My Home? Or Will My Appointment Take Place in the Mobile Clinic?
We promise to always respect the privacy and directions of our clients. We will discuss the logistics of your appointment beforehand and will make sure we’re aligned on the setting of your pet’s appointment so everyone can feel comfortable while we provide care.
Can You Provide Prescriptions and Medications?
Yes, Dr. Missy can prescribe medications and provide necessary treatments during our visits. We have an on-board pharmacy in our mobile vet clinic to instantly fill most prescriptions. In addition, you can place orders through our online pharmacy.
Do You Offer Any Discounts?
Yes, we do. If you’re booking an appointment for multiple pets in a single household, we provide discounts for additional pets. In addition, discounts are available for client referrals.
