Let us tell you about Dr. Missy, our unique mobile clinic, and the story behind our practice.
A Bit About Dr. Missy Bruce
Dr. Missy has been a practicing vet for over 20 years. She graduated from Texas A&M University School of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences in May of 2000, and began her veterinary career practicing in Brownsville, Texas, before marrying her husband Carlos and moving to San Antonio, where both of their sons (Noah & Jude) were born. She spent five years practicing at Henderson Pass Animal Hospital alongside some great people and some amazing dog and cat owners.
In 2008, Dr. Missy and her family relocated to Los Fresnos, Texas where the mobile vet clinic concept would come to life. After growing weary of working in clinics where the waiting room was consistently packed, the idea of a mobile clinic seemed like the perfect solution for Dr. Missy to provide better, more personalized care for her patients. For the next 15 years, Dr. Missy provided the SPI/ Brownsville areas with top-notch veterinary services.
In 2021, Dr. Missy and her family began planning their move to New Braunfels and finally settled into their new home in the spring of 2022. Now, the Vet Mobile clinic continues to make the lives of the community and their beloved pets brighter with each visit.
Our Vision and Philosophy
Building upon her extensive veterinary experience, Dr. Missy sought to create a practice that was more accessible for elderly individuals with pets and parents with young children and pets. We believe that all families should be able to access quality veterinary services, and we wanted to remove barriers to receiving that care. The mobile nature of our clinic allows us to make veterinary visits more convenient and accessible for all.
Our mobile vet is often much less daunting for pets since they are spared the stress of car rides and waiting rooms, resulting in reduced anxiety for both owners and their pets.
At each appointment, we are guided by a simple philosophy to treat pets as we would treat our own, and we hope those of you who have met us feel that we live up to this standard. In all realms of medicine, including veterinary medicine, there has been a trend toward corporatization, which often diminishes the personal connection between you and your veterinarian. At Dr. Missy’s Vet Mobile, we ensure that you will always see the same veterinarian at each visit, and they arrive right at your doorstep when you need their support.

Over the years, the relationships we’ve formed with local patients and clients along Highway 46 between New Braunfels and Bulverde have been extremely gratifying. While we’ve only been in the area for a short time, the local community has become the most welcoming part of our growing business.
